What you are working with
Already done
Nothing marked done yet. Mark something done from what you have taken on, and it stays here, in this browser only, until you clear it.
Type help, or tap a command below. The whole site answers here: open a tool, find a group or a story, who for a full entry, news for the wire, alarm for the red flags, stats, saved, theme. Out in the world: trace, check, heat, watch, tune. Nothing typed here leaves this page until you click a link.

Twenty-five channels. Pick one to tune in: what it is, when it’s worth watching, and the link. The flame marks the one with the most leverage. Nothing here loads anything from those sites until you click through.

Event History
Recent developments, each linked to its source. A green up marker or a red down marker is this site’s editorial classification of an event as adding to or subtracting from the public good, and the value beside it is an illustrative label, not a measurement. Earlier entries are kept for the record without markers.

The Middle Path

Two ways to get this wrong. Do nothing, because everything on offer looks like more than you have. Or say yes to all of it in a good week and be no use for a month afterwards. This is the line between them, drawn where you actually are rather than where you feel you ought to be. That line is The Middle Path: the bar across the top is aiming for half red and half green, half of today given away and half kept.

Green is what you are working with: how today is going, the baseline you live with, what money and time are spare, and what holds you. Red is what you have taken on, plotted at its real effort and its real risk, because those are two different costs and most tools collapse them into one. Mark one done and it moves to grey, which costs you nothing more.

Where you stand feeds the sum. A landlord, an insurer and an employer are not neutral facts; they are load you are already carrying, and carrying more of it from the same few hands is heavier than carrying it from several. The tool takes that off the top before you spend anything.

Naming something also opens things only you can do about it, marked 💎. Pick a reporting route under Career and that route's own steps appear; name a bank and the ways off it appear. 🔥 marks the highest-leverage options and ⚠️ the highest-risk ones. The thin yellow line under the balance is your exposure: the risk of everything you have taken on, against what your baseline can carry.

Going over is not a failure state and nothing is deleted when you do. It just says so, once, and leaves the choice with you.

The Terminal tab, second along the top, is a command line for the whole site: it opens any tool, finds a group, person or story anywhere on the site, shows an entry’s full record, reads the news wire and the eighteen red flags, and shows what you have starred. It also traces who is behind a group, checks a claim, and pulls up a channel or a region. Channels is the tab for staying informed: the news wire along the top, a row of twenty-five TVs (one for every outside monitor and news source) that you slide through, and under them Follow the Sun, a live day/night map that gives each region its monitors, tools and local outlets, with Quick Deploy’s one-action crises below it. Nothing loads from those sites until you click through.

Nothing here is sent anywhere. The only thing written to your device is what you mark done, kept locally so it survives a refresh; the trash icon on Already Done clears it. Everything else disappears when you close the tab.
